She earned a Doctorate in Educational Psychology (specializing in Creativity, Intelligence & Giftedness)

Esther moved to the United States in 1991, and has been a Texas educator and trainer for 23 years. She began her journey into the field of education as a pre-school teacher & trainer, developing an interest in the learning styles of young children. She served as an Undergraduate Academic Advisor with the International Studies Program at Texas A&M University. Her experience with young adults during this time involved promoting the value of an international experience, directing students towards appropriate learning opportunities overseas that complemented academic coursework within their major.

Dr. Miranda led comprehensive school improvement efforts as an Enrichment Coordinator and teacher,  Pre-School Director, Trainer, Academic Dean, and Principal (Pre-K-8 and Pre-K-12 schools). Pedagogically, her classroom practices were guided by the theories of Benjamin Bloom (Taxonomy of Educational Objectives), Howard Gardner (Theory of Multiple Intelligence) Paul Torrance (Theory of Creativity), and Lev Vygotsky (Zone of Proximal Development).

In public schools, Dr. Miranda  volunteered with gifted education programs, and served on local and diocesan committees for gifted education, and strategic planning. She has been a presenter at the American Creativity Association (ACA) national conference, the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) national conference, and the Center for Teacher Effectiveness (CTE) Time to Teach™ regional conference.

Dr. Miranda is passionate about school reform efforts and supporting teachers. She is concerned about the preparedness of graduating students for the global workforce of the 21st century, and believes in the benefits of differentiated instruction, technology integration, and project-based learning that promote essential skill building, inquiry, critical, and creative thinking.
